Holidays Austria: Day One

Good day, dear readers!~

On Wednesday, 27th May 2015 I spontaneously left home to Klagenfurt by plane for enjoying four days of vacation in Austria at the Faak lake! My parents went there two days before, noticed that their apartment was big enough for three or even four persons, and they invited me to come there for a visit - so, of course I did! ^___^ The flight was booked easily and quickly, and the next day I left in the early morning.

From the train to the airport - the very first step into the world! ^___^

Waiting for boarding...
I had the best place you can have in an airbus A319, in my opinion: 10F (or A) ^___^ you're sitting directly next to the emergency exit and would be the first person getting out of the plane. Many people don't like this place because they would be responsible to open the door... Well, it is so unlikely that you get into the situation of doing so, so I'm staying calm and rather enjoy the huge leg room you have there~
By the way: Have you ever noticed that there is no 13th row in a plane? Superstition is something quite strong...

Just awesome, the advertising on the gate xD the arrow to the plane says 'tomato juice', the one back to the terminal 'pepper'. It's an advertising for car rental... ^___^

Some impressions from the plane~
Have you noticed the top of the mountain breaking through the clouds? At the very first I couldn't distinguish them, but then I was absolutely fascinated since I never have seen such a thing before ^___^

I just love flying! Whether I am over the clouds or can look down on the ground, I enjoy both situations very much~

Here we already can see the Alps!
The runway from afar

Arrived at Klagenfurt! The airport is so small, they don't even have or need a tarmac bus or services: You just walk to the terminal by foot ^___^ It also was the first time I saw an owl man directing the plane to its parking position~
What you also notice at the very first is the clear, fresh air - nothing in comparison with the hot, dry air in my home surroundings... I wish I would have been able to pack it into my backpack and bring it back home~

That's how I arrived in Austria. My parents already waited for me and picked me up with our car, then we drove to our apartment and I unpacked my stuff and so on.

Later the day we decided to do another short trip: We went to Villach, the next bigger city around. Somehow it wasn't that exciting as we thought it would be, we were a bit disappointed... Well, have a look on the pictures yourself - but in general the city was no great adventure or something; just a normal, simple town.

This was a small rose garden. I would spend my evenings here in summer if I would be an inhabitant. Some of them indeed were blooming~
Froggy trash can ^___^

The city museum

The church also wasn't that impressing at all... I love visiting churches in every town, but this one was just a bit unspectacular, too... That's why I didn't take photos inside.

This eagle statue was way more interesting then~
The place in front of the city hall

The other church, the Francisian one, was way more interesting; I liked it much more~

And of course an ice cream mustn't miss! This time I chose apple and coconut, and it was really delicious~

In the evening my parents invited me to a pizzeria. At the very first we weren't really convinced by the outer appearance, but we were positively surprised how good it was!~ The pizzas were the best ones I ever have eaten in a restaurant! It was definitely worth the money, and we enjoyed the evening there. And we also quickly decided to visit it again during these vacations ^___^
My sort was called "Antisklerosa" - with garlic, champignons and ham~ And I had a mango juice which also was very tasty!

After dinner we took a walk outside and watched the "Alpenglow". I was very impressed by it! Just look at this yourself: The light illuminating the mountains is just overwhelming~

A small rivulet that buries its way through the village and the meadows...

Here we can see it again! The deeper the sun sets, the reddisher the colour becomes - a really impressing change that only lasts for about ten minutes... I've watched this every evening during the holidays~

This was how the first day ended. It already was a nice beginning and I was looking forward to the next days~

Thank you for reading and see you soon!
Junsui~
